VAT and Customs Duty Training

We offer bespoke training workshops on VAT and customs duty which are tailored to the specific needs and business activities of our clients.  This enables you to have as many attendees at the session as you wish (often with some only attending necessary sections). This is typically a more cost effective solution than an off-the-shelf standard VAT training course which is not tailored to the needs of the business.

In preparation for the course we would typically have a planning call with you to understand the reason for the training being required, who will be attending and their level of VAT knowledge and areas to be covered.  This would include gaining a clear understanding of the range of scenarios to focus on during the day.  We would prepare training material in the form of powerpoint slides which attendees can make notes on and retain.  Depending on the specific subject matter, we may request copies of actual sales or purchase invoices which would be reviewed as part of the session to bring the technical training to life and make sure the delegates can readily see the read across from the complex rules.  For customs duty training we might review import entries or classification codes in use.

We actively encourage questions, comments and real-life examples from the delegates throughout the session as this acts as a hugely improves the effectiveness of the session and likelihood of delegates retaining the information.

In addition to on site training we are happy to offer remote sessions using webex or can do a mix of on site and remote dial in if needed.
